🎉 BRISTOL OVERWHELMS FASCIST MARCH 🎉 On Saturday 7.3.26, activists travelled again to mobilise against Bristol Patriot’s divisive “Unity March“. @bristolantifascist and other groups mobilised with an estimated 300-400 activists countering about 100 fascists. Activists overwhelmingly disrupted the racist march with multiple successful attempts at kettling them. Activists moved from street to street to disrupt the march , with notable manoeuvre by a big bloc to sandwich the fascists at the Cenotaph, a sandwich kettle at Union Street ,a moving heckling crowd at The Horsefair and a complete blockage of their route at The Horsefair end near Penn Street. The fascists had to be escorted by a wall of police the entire way, with their benign forces to return to the Cenotaph to disperse despite desperate police effort. The Police had once again used violence against anti-racists, with notable tactics of calvary charges, batons, vans and pepper spray. Dog vans have also been sighted by our antifascists. Notably a cavalry charge was halted by activists waving and clapping and victims of pepper spray was quickly treated by prepared activists. In addition to that , activists both showed application of quick manoeuvrable tactics as well as holding lines to the best of their ability. The bravery and competence demonstrated by activists this weekend cannot be understated!!   This mobilisation once again shows that cops will not protect us from fascists, ( the chant”police protect the fascists!” ringed truer than ever) as well as the power of organised community self-defense.  Also late Happy International Women’s day! On 21/2 , activists travelled with @antifascistsbrighton to participate in the mobilisaiton agaisnt Britian First Activists organised in different blocs and disrupted Britian First’s route, causing rerouting on Britian First’s end. Despite violence and hate against minorities by Britian First participants , they were met with less policing by Manchester Police. Meanwhile, anti-fascists activists were faced with dispropotionate violence from the police, with punches, dogs and cavalry charges set onto activists. This is a reminder that fascists and fascism, entail severe threats towards communities. In addition , this day reminds us that the police do not protect our communities and often act in ways that benefits fascism. It is up to ourselves to get organised and resist fascism in this trying time, and to resist fascism our with own hands. Thank you to @asherfynn for the footage
