Nespresso just spent millions to fix their trust problem. They have all the awareness money can buy, but they’re still not a first choice in the consumer market for coffee. So, they’re borrowing recognition from someone Gen Z already trusts. The Dua Lipa deal is a way to merge brand capital and create more buzz around Nespresso. What Dua Lipa has is brand capital. The trust, recognition, and aesthetic association built over years of showing up the same way. This is what it actually looks like when strategy and creativity work together. At ASHE, we literally built our agency because we believe that brand is a SYSTEM- strategy, visuals, and socials go hand in hand and need to be done in a consistent way. Jocelyn came to us as Studio Jones, and she is an established photographer who had already invested in branding. It looked professional. But, it just wasn’t working for her or her business anymore. Her audience was confused about her specialty, she felt disconnected from her own work, and the brand wasn’t opening the doors she was ready to walk through. So before we touched a single design file, we got on a strategy workshop and went deep. We refuse to stop at a questionnaire. Let this be your reminder that a 2am Pinterest board a freelancer turned into a logo is not a brand that will last. And this approach is exactly why so many founders are itching to rebrand before they’ve even launched. Here’s the thing. Most of the incredibly creative visionary founders that we work with have an amazing vision and even better intuition around their brand. They have a deep knowing of why their brand exists, where they’re headed, and the scale they want their business to expand to.
