A week to remember with my sister and neice - Munich, Paris, churches, markets, bikes, scooters, art, shopping, jellycats, crosswords, croissants, sushi, sparkles...sometimes family time comes at exactly the right time.
Permet, Albania (and Girokaster) - somewhat unexpected...but it really had "everything but the sea": stunning scenery, new discoveries, Goonies-like mountain slide 🤣, thermal baths in the canyon, carpet.. and the best company.
Year 9 of lions. With time a lot of it becomes more distant. These days I am hit hardest when I imagine what my hockey mom era would have been like - I always looked forward to that...and then i realize that she might have chosen dance or art and my hockey mom era may never have come to be anyway. Life has a way of being unpredictable that way. And maybe that is the biggest learning in the end - let go of some control, seize the day, lead with empathy, let go of people that don't lift you up, and hold close those that do (even if they are geographically far away). As we learnt during our travels this year - the Danish word for Lion is Løve - and that’s what we choose to take forward this year. HBD Izzy Raion 🦁❤️
A great start to 2026 in Greece. Magical Meteora (more than I imagined), Mt Olympus and Thessaloniki. Days of exploring, hiking, Hammam and eating, of course...the calm before the storm.
