new karaoke video! Joanna Newsom “Only Skin” ! 🎙️ this song is 17 minutes long 🫨 and it was a total nightmare to record multiple takes trying to get one where i didn’t mess up words or make too bad of a vocal mistake. recording this definitely gave me greater appreciation for not only Joanna Newsom (who I already thought was a genius and one of my favorite musicians of all time) but also any singers who have to sing long pieces without breaks, especially theater and opera singers. I’ve never attempted to do a piece this length without stopping, and the endurance of focus I had to maintain really pushed my limits. I’ve been singing this song to myself since it came out when I was a teen in 2006 so it’s very special to me and it actually didn’t take me long to learn the words since I knew so many of them already. If you manage to watch the whole thing, thanks for your patience! Let me know if there’s some other way too complex song you want me to sing next 🙏
Due to the suppression of good, clean Christian media on publicly available streaming services, Boys’ Bible Study is happy to announce that we are moving on to what makes more sense then ever: physical media! Going forward, all $20 tier patrons will receive a DVD once a month(shipping included if within the US—message us if not and we’ll try to figure something out). This will typically be a uniquely titled movie with a new cover and the actual movie will typically be something either modified by us or not readily available to society. Anyone who is signed up for this tier by the first of each month will receive the DVD for that month. To kick off, though, you will have until Easter Sunday(April 5) to sign up and receive April’s DVD. And keep your eyes on our Patreon at any tier to find out in advance what we’re serving each month!
singing my band @1001angelnights Angel Electronics first song “One Thousand and One Nights”. I remember when @adarook666 asked if we could start a band together and I was so excited about the idea I wrote the lyrics and chords for this in about an hour, and rook recorded and produced all the instruments just a day or two later. Suddenly we were a band… with a song that is still one of my favorites I’ve ever written. We’d like to write some more songs soon, but while you patiently wait for that I hope you enjoy this stripped down solo live version of the song I recorded for fun.
new karaoke vid singing COOKIE’S BUSTLE 🍪 Got a weird one today, but if you know you know… this is the song “As For Dreams” from the legendary video game Cookie’s Bustle which is beloved to a select few online. The game is a genuinely weird story about a bear who is a 5 year old girl from New Jersey and enters into an athletic competition. At one point a woman with a guitar plays this song “As For Dreams” while Cookie nods along with the beat sublimely. Ever since I heard it I’ve been haunted by its melody and lyrics. I think it’s a gorgeously written song, so I wanted to do my interpretation! #cookiesbustle #cookiefreed

High on Life 2 @highonlifegame is out now!!! 🎮 I’m so proud to have worked on this for the past two years as an associate producer at @squanchgames . I wrote a few slides about how I contributed to the game. If you check out HoL2, please let me know what you think!
I especially want to thank my friends on the writing team — our director @alecsrobbins , writers Julian Shine, @brianwysol , @davidcarliner , and our team manager Drew Pariser. I also had a ton of friends contribute voice acting and some onscreen acting within the game. My sister @confirmed_real fabricated props and costumes for some multimedia video elements. Also, shoutouts to my musical collaborators @want_mary , @sodrove , and @indripfromaccounting who together with me contributed an original pop song to the game’s soundtrack.
In many ways this is the biggest project I’ve ever been involved with and I know I’ll take what I learned into the future. Also, despite my sincere words, this game doesn’t take itself seriously at all, so just have fun with it and I hope you enjoy!
