It was a dream working on this project. I experimented with new techniques in action design and animation. The multiple layers of highlights and shadows added to the production time but undeniably enhanced the quality of the final product. The backgrounds were created in Blender using existing assets from the web, and I placed cameras to capture different shots. This approach saved me from having to paint each background after completing the animation. I would like to thank Neal for the sound. It was really amazing to work with him. It won't be half as awesome as it is without his sound design.

From storyboard to the final comp.
Lot of the time a rough animatic would move faster than expected. When we started to animate the characters, we had to give them more time so that they can finish their action and also to make things more readable.
We also had to sometime adjust the composition of the shots so that the audience can keep track of the characters as they move from one shot to another and things don't look jarring.

With New Year comes a brand new Demo Reel !!
I am so happy yo share this with you. While making this I have realised that the past few years overall have been really productive. When you're working on an individual project, it's easy to feel the imposter syndrome, but looking back, I feel motivated.
I hope this year is gonna be productive too and even if I don't get what I want from this year I hope I have the passion, discipline and energy to create more cool stuff!!

As an animator, it is always fun to see the animation in this form.
It is the end of the year and I wanted to share my favourite sequence that I animated this year. I studied a lot of different anime scenes. My main references were Levi vs Beast Titan and Law vs Big Mom. There were multiple challenges that I had to face in this sequence, from choreography, to perspective, to 3d backgrounds, to shadows, ... to a few more. But tackling all those challenges are what makes a sequence like this fun and the final output worth it.
