Bits & pieces of what this season has looked like for “A Sea of Clouds”. As I step into my third year of this business, my days have been filled with introspection, quiet updates, and grounding. I live with this motto now “Let it be unpolished, messy and true”, as I try to break my perfectionist ways.
Earlier this month my dear friend Annie and I embarked on a journey through the cold to create new branding photos. Our hands were fully numb, the wind bit at us. I was definitely questioning everything out there, and yet.. it was breathtaking. The wild horses roaming, the hush of being alone in the open. Just us and the horses and the winter sun. There’s nothing quite like it and I’d do it all over again. I usually choose to photograph around the spring equinox when the earth is waking up and the potential for new life and ideas tend to flourish. But this year, I wanted to honor the beauty that still exists here too. The stillness, the softness. The life that continues, even in the cold.
In light of this, my website is also fully updated! I spent the last month crafting a new homepage and making the experience more immersive. The colors and textures I included provided inspiration for the site. Though the color blue, has subconsciously always found its way into the mixture; a color symbolizing calmness, wisdom & intuition. My hope is that when you land there, you feel like you’ve stepped into a small escape, a wonderland. As always, this is something I created on my own, and it reflects how I see this work. Bound to no one niche, I’m a documentary artist, photographing the way life moves, across travel, growing families, love stories, and the creative work people build with their hands and hearts. Thank you for spending time with it and treating it like the the living, breathing thing it’s become.
Last but not least! I am actively booking for 2026 and 2027. It’s been exhilarating to receive a wave of inquires that feel so aligned with my work. If you feel called to work together, my website is the place to reach me! I can’t wait to meet future clients and continue creating alongside the ones already here.
Thank you for being part of this season with me 🪻
An intimate vow reading at one of their favorite places in nature. Afterwards, we had some time to wander the park and pick wildflowers to dry and keep. I love moments like this; moments where things are quieter. Just the two of you and the trees holding it all in.
