Many think oil will be exhausted in a few years time. But here are some little but interesting facts they may have overlooked.
Every year oil and gas companies invest billions of dollars into exploring for new reserves in order to replace the ones they have produced.
What this means is that the more we use the more we try to find more to replace what we use.
Also, did you know that the amount of shale oil that is available for production is 1000 times the amount of oil that has ever been produced or that will ever be produced.
So what has been keeping us from tapping this huge energy source all along you may ask? Technology. Present technology leads to much energy waste, but we are gradually getting there.
Did you also know that both oil and gas can be gotten from coal? Well, now you know.
Technology to obtain this is constantly improving and more and more ways are popping up to obtain this liquid hydrocarbon.
Oil has come to stay. And doesn't appear like it has any intentions of leaving the game just yet.
