When @mikejonesracing is at the peak of his powers, there’s probably no better sight in the SW-MOTECH Superbike class as he glides his YZF-R1 around Aussie racetracks with metronomic precision. Unfortunately for the three-time Superbike champion, the 2026 season has so far been a modest one – but the turning point could be just around the corner thanks to @morganparkraceway . Jones and Morgan Park share a special bond, with the 32-year-old finishing on the podium in nine of the last 10 Superbike races at the circuit – and it almost definitely would have been a perfect record if he didn’t retire from race one in 2025 with a mechanical issue. Four wins have come during that time, as well as two memorable second places after jaw-dropping battles with @troyherfossracing in 2023. It’s a consistent run of brilliance that places him as warm favourite for round four of the #ASBK Championship at Morgan Park from May 29-31 – and then we all know he’s extremely hard to conquer at Queensland Raceway as well, which will host the grand finale. Even if ultimate championship victory might prove to be a bridge too far – he’s currently eighth overall, 56pts behind Harrison Voight – the wily Queenslander is going to have a huge say in who reaches the 2026 summit.
