Exhibition-sales form a defining framework for the studio’s curatorial practice. Each edition brings together a constellation of dealers, makers and mediums, composing temporary environments that explore what it means to inhabit a space. A key aspect of this approach is the dialogue between past and present, where vernacular expressions and vintage pieces sit alongside contemporary work. This encounter highlights continuities between traditions and current practices, offering a layered understanding of how objects carry time within them. These gatherings create a rare proximity to the works. Encountered directly — through texture, weight, and material presence — the pieces reveal subtleties that transcend representation. Their craftsmanship becomes legible only through this immediate, tactile experience. What unfolds is a space of exchange : between disciplines, between visitors and objects, between the intentions of the makers and the interpretations they inspire. Techniques, narratives, and artistic gestures become visible through these shared moments. More than a display, each event offers a landscape of sensibilities — a place where crafted forms and thoughtful practices converge, inviting a slower, more attentive way of seeing. one-of-a-room was one-of-a-blast indeed. Thank you for showing up with such warmth, curiosity, and openness. Welcoming you, sharing conversations, seeing you connect with the pieces — and sometimes taking one home — made the whole experience deeply meaningful. My gratitude also goes to my dearest guests, @dig_in_japan @atelierconstant @xavier.dehaye @standshowroom @williamlebras.ceramics @wiwltr___reads @simotto Your trust, your generosity, and the soul you put into your work shaped the spirit of this project. It confirmed the power of assembling people who care deeply about what they create — and who trust the process enough to let their work speak in new ways. Thank you all for choosing to be part of this edition — and stay tuned for what unfolds. E Photographs by @emmavermaase Warm thanks to @lemaire

(sold) Metal mesh bowl that transforms a strict grid into a sculptural form. Its subtly warped contours soften the structure’s rigidity, creating a piece that feels both functional and spatially expressive. Light, open, and architectural, it stands between object and sculpture, defined by the interplay of lines and air.

(for sale) Commissioned in the 1920s by a French diplomat in Japan and crafted by a local artisan, this unique piece reflects a restrained dialogue between Western function and Japanese formal clarity. Structure operates as language, favoring proportion and precision over ornament. Composed as a grid of open compartments, the form is articulated by subtle diagonal chamfers at each corner, softening the geometry and introducing a quiet rhythm. Marked by discretion and craftsmanship, the piece occupies a space between furniture and architecture. One-off piece H90 x W128 x D25 cm Available for acquisition, DM for details
