I’ve been struggling to articulate this post for a while now, often scrapping what I’ve written. I have never felt that there is any way to properly do justice & articulate about the losses I’ve had in my life. I don’t like taking to social platforms so I often keep the two very separate. However for Kwon, I have never shared some of this before and felt that I should try.
I feel as though Jeff didn’t know his impact on all of us. Some of the most subtle things he did carried a big influence for all of us.
We would also always chat and nerd out over some of our favourite things. Usually snowboarding & surfing. Surfing was a big one. Typically dream trips or bullshitting about going out in Ukee even if it looked horrible. Other times it was snowboard industry related stuff, skateboarding & we always talked about guiding.
I’ve been very fortunate to travel & experience life in the mountains for the last twenty years. There are too many amazing days over the years, many of which Jeff was apart of. There’s a few that stand out in particular though. Some pivotal days for me were the trips to Eagle Pass. I don’t think he or anyone in those groups, knows of how big of a role they played in my life of going down a guiding path. It was something we talked about often. Jeff always kept up with where I was at, and was one of the few that kept reassuring me I was doing the right thing.

Adventures in the mountains.
A splitboarding day mission with @asantos to climb and ride the goods that Fissile was offering. (Aaron climbed and rode and did all the hard things). Once I found my shot location a took a nap in the sun waiting for the radio to go off.
A safe day in the backcountry, accomplishing the task at hand and home by the light of a headlamp is truly remarkable experience.
