I was supposed to attended VCU back in 2020 but covid hit and changed my course entirely. I told my mom I need to get to VCU and she said to me ”do what you need to do to get down there”…I now have my B.F.A in Dance & Choreography💛🖤. There’s nothing I can’t do, when I put my mind to it and lock in on my target!!

“enough is enough…right?”
For my senior capstone I explored the importance of putting your best self forward, even when external toxic factors or people try to interfere with your happiness. Crafting a work that explores the dilemma of making a decision between maintaining self-preservation and continuously tolerating toxic people who cause harm to your inner peace.
This journey has been such a learning process. When I first started rehearsal I was just dishing out so much choreography without any real structure or transitions. My piece was in a completely different place then vs. for the show. I’ve gotten so much constructive feedback on how to really design my piece. Seeing my cast dance this work on stage brought me to tears!! Beyond proud and grateful for you all to trust me through this!! Thank you to my cast for all the laughs and for telling the story!! Thank you to my rehearsal assistant for helping me with my method to my madness lol!! Thank you to my costume designer!! You all are so beautiful and amazing, I can’t wait to see what the future holds!!!🥹🫶🏾
