Curator's note:
What I love about this painting is that you can’t read it all at once. At first, you see the colour, the texture, the light and the darker layers — and only then do faces, figures and gazes begin to appear.
Some are clear, others only suggested, as if emerging from memories or from something deeply internal.
It is a work that asks you to pause. To let it stay with you for a moment. And perhaps, little by little, to discover something of yourself within it.

Artwork: Icecold.. meltdown
40 x 50 cm
Oil on plywood
Available on ArtyLeo
The figure, immersed in cold shades of blue, appears calm at first glance—almost motionless. Blue here is not merely a color of the body, but a state of mind: emotional numbness caused by shock. The face is closed, controlled, as if feelings have frozen at the very moment they needed to be protected from pain.
This apparent calm is subtly disrupted. From the area of the eye, a warm brown pigment begins to drip—an intentional contrast to the cold monochrome surface. This is the moment of meltdown: the point where suppressed emotions break through, where inner collapse can no longer be contained. The eye, traditionally a symbol of awareness and perception, becomes a site of failure, where rational control gives way to raw emotion.
The vertical paint drips resemble traces of time or tears that are no longer purely personal, but universal. The work speaks of a break-up not as a dramatic explosion, but as a quiet, gradual erosion—when a person freezes on the outside while something inside begins to fall apart.
Icecold.. Meltdown captures an emotional paradox: a cold that burns, and a stillness that signals an inevitable collapse.

Artwork: 24 hodín zo života istej ženy
110 x 110 cm
Acrylic and mixed media on canvas
Available on ArtyLeo
This work is defined by an expressive use of color and figurative motifs. The composition is structured as a grid of smaller fields, each containing an abstract depiction of a face or head. The figures are painted with energetic, confident brushstrokes, while dark contour lines frame the color blocks and heighten the contrast between individual segments.
Dominant tones of red, blue, white, and grey infuse the piece with intensity, movement, and emotional charge. The title suggests that each segment represents one of the 24 hours of a day—or different facets of a woman’s life and emotional states as they unfold over time. Together, they form a layered exploration of feminine identity, inner rhythm, and lived experience.

TODAY! Starts Qatar International Art Fair! We are proud to represent Pavla Čepelíková, who creates colorful imprints of other worlds. 🎨
Drawing from her background in botany and years in corporate HR—where each company is its own world with unique language and creatures—Pavla builds fantastical universes rich with peculiar order, rules, and characters that could exist anywhere in the cosmos.
Working with acrylic and oil, she begins almost alchemically, using chance and harmonious color palettes to create organic forms. Her square canvases remain spatially neutral, allowing maximum playfulness as strange beings emerge—simultaneously eerie and charming, beautiful and bizarre.
Influenced by Odilon Redon, Marc Chagall, Paul Klee, and the Fauvists' shifted color palettes, her work invites viewers into absurd contrasts of cuteness and eeriness, kindness and cruelty—playing on our universal human strings of subconscious and playfulness.
Publicly exhibiting since 2024, Pavla is currently preparing for studies at Prague's Academy of Fine Arts.

1 day until Qatar International Art Fair!
We are proud to represent Michaela Adamčíková, who creates under the pseudonym MisaxiA. 🎨
Working with acrylics, spray paint, watercolor, and ink, MisaxiA builds her visual language around signature "fleks and steks"—color spots and flowing lines that layer stories within clouds. These elements become pure emotion, setting the mood and feeling in each piece, while clouds add depth and spatial dimension.
Her work stems from childhood memories—capturing the view from her grandmother's house, creating small ink spots to decorate her room. These moments return in her art with greater depth, evolving into a distinctive style that blends abstraction and illustration.
Inspired by nature and atmospheric skies, she translates these impressions into abstract reactions that invite viewers to discover their own stories emerging from the subconscious, like echoes of distant memories.
