MY FIRST GAME JAM!!! Had a real silly goose time at ‘The Rules of Watching’ game jam - responding to the theme of spectatorship and agency. Thank you @thisisliveart for hosting and the incredible @productionsbysymone & @ladydangfua for facilitating the safest space to gather & experiment. Met a bunch of people I am in awe of.
Working as an artist can sometimes feel lonely - but the medium of game is not! Hopefully many more jams to come because it really reminded me of what Rehana Zamans film captures so beautifully - “Everything Worthwhile is Done with Other People”
Had such a blast at @londongamesfest - New Game Plus last week. Thank you @film_london FLAMIN team - especially Nathan Geyer for getting me through the inevitable technical difficulties!
It was fantastic to show ‘Museum of Memories’ to new audiences. It was made in co-creation with some amazing students from Bridgwater & Taunton college and shown @eastquaywatchet in 2025. Alongside this I debuted a demo I’ve been tinkering away at for the last 2 years ‘I’ve been here, somewhere’. Loved chatting with people about the ideas behind both games and getting to play lots of other new games!
It’s been wonderful to see how artists games sit outside of the typical art/gallery space and was honoured to share a booth with @david_blandy_@petra.szeman@cliffordsage@trust.support
We’re excited to welcome the Film London Moving Image Network (FLAMIN) to New Game Plus where they will present a curated selection of games by artists previously supported through FLAMIN’s programme.
Produced by visual artists working outside the context of mainstream game design, these experimental works invite players to explore worlds where the future and the past converge, and things left behind can be rediscovered through memory and imagination.
Featuring
👻 OUR GHOSTS, OUR SHELLS - David Blandy & Petra Szemán
In a pixelated world filled with sprites from videogames past and present, remembered avatars mingle and blur with the artists’ formative life experiences.

A look back at today's planet from a speculative future, in which human culture has been left behind by artificial intelligence.

Over a month ago, I received the Atta Kwami monograph, published by @serpentineuk It is beautiful. I am honoured to have contributed an essay titled Home-Studios.
Sharing an excerpt from my piece:
“I hope this publication of Atta’s work will be treasured and pored over with the same respect that Atta gave to so many of his favourite books. In capturing the range of work Atta created, this publication will aid in the continuation of a legacy that champions and appreciates African art in all its complexity, releasing it from any boundaries and expectations, enabling a future generation of artists to embrace a truly authentic practice”
Last week to see ‘Museum of Memories’ @eastquaywatchet (21/06/25 - 13/07/25)
A digital collaboration between Art and Design students from Bridgwater & Taunton College and artist Ama Dogbe
Ama spent four days on site in Bridgwater, where she introduced the students to the tools and processes she uses in her practice - both digital software and physical materials.
Through a series of workshops, the students mind-mapped their ideas based around the theme of Collections, before taking part in ‘making-sessions, where they used physical materials to create 2D and 3D visualisations of their ideas. These ideas were then scanned into digital files and translated into virtual elements, ready to be explored in the software previously mentioned.
In Studio 10, the making process is shown alongside the resulting digital artwork, which viewers are invited to explore and interact with using the console controllers provided.

"Untitled (The Hours)" is part of an ongoing collaboration tracing the desire lines between ecology, music and ritual. The landscape diorama was created in Autodesk Maya and then modified with a video synthesiser, introducing signal corruption and colour distortion.
