At Arts Together, the spirit of motherhood is woven into our very foundation. Our organization was founded right here in Raleigh in 1983 by Lemma Mackie, a woman whose love for the arts and her community built something that has lasted generations.
Today, her daughter Glenda Mackie carries that legacy forward as one of our beloved dance instructors, and her granddaughter Brynna Crew continues the tradition as a preschool teacher in our program.
