“DEATHTOLUST”. For most of my life, lust had a hold on me. It wasn’t just temptation—it was a pattern that shaped my thoughts, my choices, and how I saw the world. I chased desire believing it would fill a void inside me, but it only left me emptier. I confused pleasure for purpose and attention for connection, slowly losing respect for myself while pretending I was in control. Lust distorted how I viewed women, relationships, and manhood. I wanted intimacy but settled for escape. And after every momentary high came the same emptiness, shame, and frustration. Eventually, I reached a breaking point. I was tired of being led by impulse instead of conviction, tired of knowing who I should be but living beneath that standard. Finding God wasn’t instant perfection—it was surrender. I admitted I couldn’t win this battle alone. In doing so, I learned that discipline isn’t repression; it’s alignment. It’s choosing what strengthens you over what weakens you. Through faith, I began to understand that true manhood isn’t indulgence or conquest, but mastery—over the mind, the body, and the spirit. I still face temptation, but I no longer face it blindly. I meet it with awareness, prayer, and purpose. Each time I choose restraint, I reclaim a piece of myself and move closer to the man God is shaping me to be—a man of integrity, clarity, and strength. Freedom isn’t doing whatever you want; it’s wanting what is right. And for the first time, I’m choosing faith over flesh, discipline over desire, and purpose over pleasure. — Brady
