Student Artists at NC State: By the Numbers:
🎨
This spring, 55 NC State students applied to participate in the annual Student Art Sale — and their majors might surprise you. The single largest group of applicants came from the College of Engineering, joined by artists studying everything from Meteorology and Social Work to Statistics and Fisheries & Wildlife Conservation. Altogether, 48 different majors are represented across 11 colleges.
These aren't just hobbyists, either. 84% have sold their work before — at art fairs, on Etsy, and at past NC State sales — and nearly 90% are open to commissions.
When it comes to the art itself, expect variety: prints, original paintings, handmade jewelry, ceramics, crochet, stickers, and more, with pieces priced as low as a few dollars and averaging around $96.
Come shop the Arts NC State Student Art Sale on Saturday, April 18, 1–4 p.m. on the Gregg Museum lawn. Browse, buy, and see what your fellow Wolfpack members have been making!
