Toyin was a passionate person. She was a light in human form. A gift from God. I want people to know that she is more than just her story. She brought so much laughter and love towards me and our circle of friends. I wanted to incorporate her essence into this painting by depicting a euphoric pink, blue and purple sky. I also painted two butterfly’s to represent her spirit living on.
I’m happy to say that I found peace while creating this painting. This was my gift to her and my way of finding closure. Thank you for everything you brought to us. You will live forever in our hearts. I love you. ❤️ Say her name, Oluwatoyin Salau.
