Pride of Place Dumfries & Galloway is looking for a videographer to help document an ambitious, community-led heritage project uncovering under-represented stories across Dumfries & Galloway.
Working alongside Arts D&G, The Imaginarium and Dumfries & Galloway Heritage Service, you’ll capture workshops, events and real stories as they unfold. Creating both short-form social content and documentary pieces to build a lasting visual archive.
We’re looking for someone with a strong documentary eye, confident editing skills, and a sensitive approach to working with communities.
💰 £6,000 fee (24 flexible days across the year)

🎭 EMBODIED STORIES WORKSHOP
🎭 A workshop in physical storytelling and textless theatre.
Led by Jon Lachlan Stewart, co-creator of Macbeth Muet, this practical workshop explores how the body can be used as a powerful tool for storytelling.
Working through movement, rhythm, objects and elements of classical text, you’ll experiment with new ways of performing, from stillness and minimalism to puppet and object interaction. It’s a chance to break down familiar stories and rebuild them through physical expression, developing confidence, creativity and a deeper understanding of stage presence.
Open to performers of all levels, with no prior experience needed! Just curiosity and a willingness to explore. If you're interested email [email protected].

The Loud Poets Slam Series returns for its fourth year, bringing Dumfries’ top poets to the stage in a high-energy battle of spoken word.
Watch as performers compete in one of 10 heats across Scotland and England for a place in the UK slam finals, with reigning Dumfries Champion Culain Wood appearing as sacrificial poet. Expect powerful performances, bold storytelling, and an electric atmosphere.
Hosted by I Am Loud, Scotland’s leading spoken word organisation, this is a celebration of poetry at its most alive.
