Art/Lab: Innovating Jewish Arts and Culture is proud to present the work of our 2025-26 Artists Fellowship Cohort following their nine months of art practice, text study and dialogue on the place of Memory in Jewish culture and practice!

More than half of the 25 artists in Jew& are Art/Lab Fellowship alumni - a reflection of the ongoing impact of Art/Lab’s programs and the ways our artists continue shaping contemporary conversations well beyond their Fellowship! Jew& is an exhibition that expands and challenges expectations of who Jewish artists are, and the layered duality of the Jewish experience. Created and curated by Jessica Rehfield for the Salem Art Association, the exhibition brings together 25 Jewish artists, authors, musicians, poets, and performers from across the Willamette Valley in a two-month exploration of contemporary Jewish identity. Presented outside a Jewish institution, Jew& is the first exhibition of its kind in Oregon to center only Jewish artists in this way—showcasing a wide range of media and voice, from sculpture, installation, printmaking, painting, and video to poetry, music, and performance, each contributing to a multifaceted expression of what it means to be a Jew…&. Opening reception: Friday, May 1, 5:30–7:30 PM (remarks at 6 PM)
