In 28 Days Later, they shot in an empty London for real. Director Danny Boyle filmed scenes at dawn on Sundays with only 1 to 2 minutes to get each shot. Iconic locations like Westminster Bridge were briefly shut down, with minimal crews and even club bouncers helping block off roads.

There are now more active mobile devices on Earth than people, with an estimated 10 billion connected phones and devices worldwide. Collectively, humanity spends roughly 25 billion hours on smartphones every single day, equal to nearly 2.8 million years of human attention every 24 hours. follow @artifaxing for more like this!

Lucki dropped out of Proviso East High School at 16 after his early music started gaining heavy attention around Chicago, making him essentially a local celebrity while still in class. Around the same time he was building the sound that became Alternative Trap, and later said the growing “buzz” around his music made normal school life feel completely disconnected from where his life was heading.

J.R.R. Tolkien first began creating Middle-earth around 1917 while recovering from World War I, originally inventing entire languages like Elvish before building stories and history around them. He spent nearly 40 years developing the world that eventually became The Lord of the Rings, creating maps, family bloodlines, mythologies, and thousands of years of fictional history long before the films ever existed. The Lord of the Rings films later made nearly $3 billion at the box office and won 17 Academy Awards, while the books themselves have sold over 150 million copies worldwide. follow @artifaxing for more like this!

Dean Blunt is a musician known for keeping a low profile, making experimental music, and using a bunch of different names and projects. Here are some of the ones I could find that you might recognize. Primary Name: Dean Blunt – His main and most recognized stage name. Artist Projects: Hype Williams – An avant-garde duo with Inga Copeland (aka Lolina), known for their cryptic, experimental sound. Babyfather – A UK hip-hop and experimental project featuring collaborators like DJ Escrow. Bo Khat Eternal Troof Family Band – An experimental collective associated with Blunt. Other Aliases: Roy Nnawuchi – His birth name, sometimes used in credits. Roy Bundy – Possibly a reference to Al Bundy. Mr. Audrey Horne – A nod to Twin Peaks, reflecting his pop culture references. Denna Frances Glass – Allegedly Hype Williams’ manager; widely believed to be a fictional persona created by Blunt. Blue Iverson – Used for the 2017 R&B-influenced album Hotep.

A 2011 study on wild green-rumped parrotlets found that parrots give their babies unique “signature calls” that function almost like names, and the chicks learn them from their parents rather than inheriting them genetically. Researchers proved this by swapping eggs between nests and discovering the baby parrots grew up sounding like their foster parents instead of their biological ones.
