We really adore the band Artichoke — and how could we not? We’ve got a song about artichokes, they’ve got a song about Marie Curie, we’re all obviously kindred spirits.

I'll do 9/10 of my wordy dancy new artichoke record. I will not start any fires, but I may wear a silly hat. At 4pm the The Smokey Lonesome play. A good time is possible for many.
This week up in Paso Robles a friendly wine pourer shuffled 26 years of Artichoke on spotify and I was very happy to hear my old music pals playing on my / our tunes, guitarists such as Nick Reiter, Daniel Leyson, Octavius ( Poirier Design ) and drummers such as David Hurlin Drums & Tabla and Shawn Nourse and singers such as Lydee Walsh and Antonia Romeo and bassists Chet Johnston and Chris Gonzalez and uncountable others.
BTW, I'm not done playing with humanz, if the humanz still want to play with me. But it makes sense to perform this year's Artichoke record solo because it was made by just me and the ghosts of groovy looping drummers. The resulting live solo show is sort of the opposite of Milli Vanilli, in that the backing tracks are prerecorded / dead but I'll sing a lot like a living human before your very ears
