We stayed with Pierre for one night whilst bike-packing some of northern France in June ‘24. He lent us his battered and not so road worthy car for an hour whilst I was scraped off the road and bundled in. This was of course after a deer jumped out onto the road in front of me resulting in a journey back to London with a broken elbow.

Throwback to Ironman Staffordshire 70.3 run on June 11th.
I think it was when I was 26 when I first watched the Ironman Championships in Kona on TV I got inspired to do one of these. Why, I don’t know. But there you go, people are weird.
At that point I just started running 5k’s with sick in my mouth and could just about do 40km on the bike with slightly less suck it must be said. Hadn’t even thought about swimming.
I initially started training for mental health reasons after leaving Brighton🕺 and going home up to Scotland to have a good think about what the hell I was gonna do with myself. After watching the championships on TV I decided to set myself the task of doing an Ironman on my 30th year.
24 days before my 31st birthday running down that red carpet was pretty emotional but oh so sweet.
Super cheesy but turns out anyone can actually do these things. Just put yo mind to it people 🤙🏼
5 ⭐️ day with an official time of 5:55:55 so you’re damn well right I paid £30 for these photos 🤷🏼♂️

At one point I didn’t think I was going to make the start line because of a pretty bad bike crash involving a car on a decent about 8 weeks out.
Genuinely don’t think I would have got through that period and carried on training post recovery if it wasn’t for my incredible mother @jules_davi keeping my eye on the prize and keeping me positive throughout. 🏊♂️ 🚴 🏃🏼♂️
