Consistency Vs Motivation
In the last year that I’ve been working with my trainer, I know what helped me the most was consistency. Motivation comes and goes, so does inspiration. Trust me, I have a lot of motivation, but there are some days where there just isn’t any, and no amount of pep talks, kind words, daily affirmations are going to help. So that’s where I had to step in and just make a commitment to myself to track my macros and make sure I went to the gym, no matter how tired I was, and even if I wasn’t giving 100%, showing up and just going thru the motions best I could.
In this specific photo, I hadn’t prepared, with a special photo shoot diet, or a tan, etc. I just walked into the studio and was like OK we’re gonna do this let’s see where we’re at. I was also finally recovering from two herniated discs from a car accident which were shown to me from an MRI. I have been taking it easy training for six months, and finally needed two Cortizone shots, after physical therapy, and going easy on my shoulder and chest workouts.
Because of my consistency this is the end result on just another day, I really try to bring that consistency part of my life to other areas whether it’s my acting career, photography, business, etc., being disciplined, and consistent with a little bit of motivation here in their leads into all other areas of my life, to help me achieve what I set my mind out to do.
