What a special day, on top of becoming a full-time lecturer at SU, I had a fantastic premiere by the @odeionstringquartet what a privilege to work with such amazing musicians! A Journey that I hope to work with them for many more years to come. Thanks to @micksmeyer and the @sastringsfoundation for giving us this platform. Thanks to @the_flat_mountain_project for publishing the work and @ronsauermanart for the beautiful binding and box that houses the work. I'm truly an elated composer.

The past 2 weeks have been so incredibly special in so many ways. I got to play a number of solo recitals, chamber music and orchestral works with amazing musicians and students from my home country, South Africa. A highlight was playing in the World Premiere of my good friend and colleagues work titled Games in 2’s and 3’s. An incredible work for organ and saxophone quartet by @arthurfeder . I would like to thank the @ctconcertseries and the @sacomposers for the kind invitation. This would not have been possible without you. You were the perfect hosts! I was on the faculty as the organ specialist, on an instrument I played on as an undergraduate student and this was the first time I had touched the mighty Marcussen and Sons housed in the Endler Hall in 9 years, so a truly special reunion for me. The heart is beyond full. I now head straight into rehearsals for a one day Choral Festival that I will be hosting next week at Chester Presbyterian, where I serve as Director of Music. South Africa, its beautiful people and landscapes… it’s never goodbye but a simple see you later! To my wonderful family and friends, thank you for always taking time for me. The love runs deep! Until next time, all my love. RC ❤️
