Chattanooga, this one is for the city. ❤️ Isaiah Rashad has always carried Chattanooga with him through his music, his storytelling, and his honesty. Now it’s our turn to show that same love back. Art House Chattanooga and Krantzsy invite you to The Listening Party — a celebration of resilience, vulnerability, growth, and the impact Isaiah Rashad has had on our city and beyond. As Isaiah said in M.O.M, we’re “Levitating on love.” ✨ Join us on May 30th at 1PM in the library auditorium — the very same space where the album cover was photographed — for a community listening experience and panel discussion exploring the themes and conversations reflected throughout the album. This is more than music.
This is Chattanooga showing love to one of its own. 📍 Library Auditorium

We’re wrapping up this project… 8 long months coming to an end, and what a journey it has been. What started as a vision has turned into something so much bigger than walls and design — it’s become a space rooted in creativity, community, and intention. Art House Chattanooga was built to be more than a venue. It’s a place where ideas come to life, where people gather, celebrate, heal, and create lasting memories. Special thank you to @gaytanframing for being extremely easy to work with throughout this entire process — your consistency and craftsmanship did not go unnoticed. And to @elvirableu , thank you for capturing such a monumental part of Art House Chattanooga’s story. These moments will live on far beyond this build. Every detail in this space was chosen with purpose — from the layout to the energy it holds. We’ve already seen dinners, conversations, and experiences that remind us exactly why this place matters. ✔️ Done: • Cut window into a doorway • Added plumbing • Added electric • Added HVAC • Added framing 🛠 Currently: • Drywall mudding ⏳ Last but not least: • Paint • Tile bathrooms • Install plugs, outlets, and lights • Install appliances • Install bathroom fixtures To everyone who supported, checked in, shared kind words, or simply believed in the vision — thank you. You are a part of this. This isn’t the end… it’s just the foundation.

Art House Chattanooga was created because creatives deserve both affordable housing and a space to make their art. One acre of creative freedom, built on community, intention, and possibility. The Block Party was just the beginning. Tell me what you need — let’s build it together.

Art House Chattanooga Origins pt. 24 Communication is part of the build. In this stage, I sent notes directly to the contractor so everyone stays aligned as the project moves forward. Construction moves fast, and small details can easily get missed if they aren’t flagged early. This video is part of that process—capturing little adjustments that needed to be addressed before moving to the next phase. Fixing things now saves time, money, and rework later. It’s not just about building walls. It’s about making sure every step is intentional and everyone is working from the same page.

Art House Chattanooga Origins pt. 23 The mudding continues. This stage takes patience. It’s not just one pass and done—drywall mud goes on in layers. Each layer has to fully dry before it can be sanded and before the next coat is applied. That drying time is what allows everything to become smooth and seamless in the end. If you rush it, you end up with imperfections showing through the paint later. So it’s slow, intentional, and repeated until the walls are perfectly even. It’s one of those phases where progress doesn’t always look dramatic, but it’s doing a lot of the work that makes the final finish possible.

Art House Chattanooga Origins pt. 22 These men are so talented. Watching them work, even going as far as using stilts just to reach every inch of the ceiling, is something else. There’s a level of skill and precision that you don’t really appreciate until you see it up close. At this stage, they’re mudding the drywall. Drywall mudding is the process of applying joint compound over seams, screw holes, and imperfections between drywall sheets. It smooths everything out so the walls look seamless once they’re sanded and painted. It’s one of the most important steps in finishing—because without it, you’d always see the lines, gaps, and joins in the wall. Mudding is what turns panels into a clean, continuous surface. From structure to finish work, this is where the space starts to look less like construction—and more like a home in progress.

Art House Chattanooga Origins pt. 21 Raxie Pooh Pooh baby takes the starring role in this one—the best mascot anyone could ask for. Right in the middle of all the dust, noise, and progress… a little joy on site. And just like that, the drywall boards are UP. Walls are in, spaces are defined, and it’s finally starting to feel like something you can step into and experience. From vision, to framing, to fully closed-in walls—this moment hits different.

Art House Chattanooga Origins pt. 20 The walls are finally starting to close in. Drywall boards are being hung, covering the framing and wiring that carried this project through its earlier stages. What was once fully exposed is now being sealed, turning construction into actual rooms. This is the shift—from bones to walls, from open structure to defined space. You can finally start to feel what it’s going to be like to exist here.

Art House Chattanooga Origins pt. 19 Thinking ahead before everything gets covered up. I took a video mapping out where all the recessed lights will go—because once the drywall is installed, those wires disappear behind the boards and become invisible to the eye. This is one of those behind-the-scenes steps that saves a lot of confusion later. Knowing exactly where everything is before it’s sealed in makes installation smoother and keeps the vision intact. What you don’t see now still matters later.

Art House Chattanooga Origins pt. 18 The exterior is starting to catch up with everything happening inside. At this stage, the siding was completed on the patio roof and along the front of the house around the doors—bringing a more finished look to the outside while the interior continues to take shape. It’s one of those moments where the project starts to feel more complete from every angle. Not just structure and systems, but appearance and presence too. Inside and out, Art House is coming together.

Art House Chattanooga Origins pt. 17 Another step forward—this time, materials. I went to Riverbend Materials to pay for the drywall, knowing it would be delivered straight to the site. One less thing to coordinate, and right on time for the next phase. Drywall showing up means we’re getting closer to closing in the walls and really seeing the space take shape. From open framing to finished surfaces—the transformation is getting real.
