Okieeee quick recap! I had some videos but not many! This was my first time participating in a plein air event. Painting with weather elements is no joke.. 80 degree sunny days, rain, wind and the cold. I applied for this on a whim because well, sometimes you have to try new things and put yourself out there! I met so many cool, talented artists and the community! This was completely out of my comfort zone since, y’all know I hide in my studio getting lost on large surfaces and bright colors. I had the best time in our group show and won my first award. (A painting I didn’t plan to submit because it wasn’t “done”) I popped that baddie in a frame the day of and SENT IT.
And if this isn’t a reminder, put your work out there! You never know who will witness you and see YOU through your work.

Truthfully I painted many paintings last year- most of them, I didn’t connect with. But hey! That’s okay! Sometimes you have to work through the stiff and “bad” paintings and when it feels right it feeeeeeeels right…light and effervescent, much flowing and growing just like the beautiful flow arts community!. 🤗🌻
