Since 2013, Outset Greece has supported the Greek Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia, helping enable the presentation of contemporary Greek artists and curatorial voices on one of the world’s leading international art platforms. This year, Outset Greece supports Escape Room by Andreas Angelidakis @angelidakis with an immersive installation exploring mythology, identity, memory, and the architectures of contemporary life. Curated by George Bekirakis, the project invites visitors into a fragmented environment where fiction, history, and digital culture intersect. @g.bekirakis #OutsetGreece #VeniceBiennale #GreekPavilion #AndreasAngelidakis #ContemporaryArt LaBiennaleDiVenezia

This morning, Outset Greece welcomed its community inside the Benaki Museum archives for a private, behind the scenes visit. Led by curators Polina Kosmadaki and Yorgos Tzirtzilakis, who generously guided the session, the visit offered an early look into the research and ideas shaping an upcoming exhibition, from archival materials to references still in progress. A rare opportunity to experience the process before it takes form. Part of the Outset Greece 2026 Grants Programme. Thank you @polina_kosmadaki @ele.levis and to everyone who came! #OutsetGreece #BenakiMuseum #AthensArt #BehindTheScenes

Inside the studio of Andreas Lolis. Today, Outset Greece hosted our first exclusive gathering of 2026. As always, it was a privilege to witness Loli’s process firsthand—an extraordinary practice where solid marble is transformed into the illusion of everyday objects—and to hear the insights of curator Akis Kokkinos. Reflecting on past collaborations with @deoproject while looking ahead to our 2026 Grant recipients, today reminded us why supporting the local arts ecosystem is more vital than ever. Stay tuned as we continue our series of intimate encounters with this year’s visionaries. @deoprojects @akis.kokkinos @lolis.andreas

The Outset Greece team had the pleasure of visiting the group exhibition ‘Once We Were Gardens’ presented by @deoprojects on the occasion of its 5th anniversary, at the historic Karavas estate in Kampos, Chios. Curated by Akis Kokkinos, the exhibition examined the inevitable cycles of growth and decay, exploring the deterioration of bodies, ideas, spaces, and relationships through the evocative symbolism of the garden. Outset Greece proudly supported DEO’s exhibition ‘My Past is A Foreign Country’ in 2023. ‘Once We Were Gardens’ brought together newly commissioned, site-specific works alongside existing pieces and one garden recreation by twelve international artists each exploring how acts of care and states of decay coexist, tracing the shifting boundaries between growth, neglect, and transformation. Their works traverse the fragility of the body, the erosion of ideas, the transformation of landscapes, and the vulnerability of relationships, weaving a narrative that is as much about loss as it is about renewal. The exhibition contemplated the tension between preservation and transformation: in a world that prioritises the new and discards the old, the works questioned our desire to remain vital and relevant. Decay, so often feared, was reimagined as a form of beauty: a process of transformation rather than a conclusion. Just as a garden requires constant tending and yet remains subject to the forces of time, so do our bodies, our histories, and our relationships. #outset #bethereattheoutset #chios #deo

Outset Greece is proud to support KIRKI, the nomadic arts organisation, in presenting the exhibition ‘Inland / Ενδοχώρα’ by Despina Charitonidi, taking place on Amorgos from July 12 – August 24, 2025. Installed along the historic “Palia Strata” hiking path in Asfontilitis, this solo exhibition invites visitors to actively engage with site-specific sculptural installations through movement, reflection, and sensory exploration. Charitonidi’s new works—featuring metal rods, livestock bells, and handmade disc-shaped ceramics—draw on the island’s shifting identity and ancient Cycladic practices of navigation and ritual. Rooted in themes of walking, transformation, and the sacred connection to nature, Inland / Ενδοχώρα reimagines the rural landscape as a space for personal and collective rediscovery. 📍 Don’t miss the live performance by the artist activating the works on August 23. ✨ Learn more @kirkiprojects #OutsetGreece #KIRKIProjects #DespinaCharitonidi #InlandExhibition #Αmorgos

2024 was a year of change. Our family of 5 moved from Athens to Madrid. We held on to everything we have built and cherished, while making space for new experiences and challenges. Looking forward to what 2025 will bring and I hope our lives continue to be filled with growth, art, meaning and some luck. Wishing everyone a healthy and peaceful new year!
