HANGAR propone un diálogo entre artistas consagrados y emergentes en un espacio con memoria industrial. Inspirada en referentes como Tempelhof en Berlín o HangarBicocca en Milán, la muestra convierte este “muelle” del Estrecho —el espacio de @artelier21 — en un laboratorio abierto, transgresor y accesible, donde el arte contemporáneo se reinventa sobre la huella del pasado (más próximo y el más lejano). Nueve artistas en diferentes momentos de su trayectoria se dan cita aquí: los más consolidados acogen a los emergentes en un ejercicio de intercambio generacional, presentando obras inéditas que subrayan el espíritu experimental que guía este proyecto. Como no podía ser menos viniendo de la pintura, cuando toca la aplicación de tintas o pigmentos, y pasar a la acción de ver las piezas terminadas, ¡es cuando más feliz me siento y cuando más disfruto!! —- Chapter 3: I love printing!! This is, without a doubt, my favorite part of any printmaking process I work with. Capítulo 2: ¿En qué consiste el Mokuhanga? Es la técnica de grabado japonesa, que se realiza sobre planchas de madera, en la que creamos nuestras imágenes mediante transferencias de capas de pigmentos al agua, que aplicamos con presión con esta herramienta que se llama baren sobre la superficie. Y ahora en el vídeo os explico mejor en qué consiste todo este maravilloso proceso de una técnica milenaria. ¡Hasta el próximo capítulo! — Chapter 2: What does Mokuhanga consist of? It is the Japanese printmaking technique, carried out on wooden blocks, in which we create our images through transfers of layers of water-based pigments, which we apply with pressure using this tool called a baren on the surface.
