Luxury living is evolving beyond aesthetics — it’s becoming about how a space makes you feel.
On this episode of The Balance with Andreana Jackson, I sit down with Marcella Novela, Art Conductor and founder of Art Conductor, to discuss the intersection of art, wellness, and real estate through North Development’s newest concept: The Wellness House Brickell.
A conversation on intentional living, design, wellness, and the future of Miami luxury real estate.

A sneak peak inside our recently completed art program for Domus Brickell Park Flats, developed by Baker—Hall in partnership with Art Conductor Marcella Novela. Conceived as a cohesive, site-responsive collection, the program brings together a group of Miami and South Florida–based artists whose practices engage materiality, narrative, and place. Featuring works by Regina Durante Jestrow, Jonathan Gonzalez, Morel Doucet, Francesco Lo Castro, Josh Aronson, Ernesto Kunde, Johnny Robles, and We Are Nice’n Easy, the collection moves between textile, painting, sculpture, and photography to create moments of warmth, rhythm, and visual continuity throughout the building. Each placement was approached with intention—responding to the architecture, light, and flow of daily life—resulting in an environment that feels both dynamic and deeply considered.

Beautiful Ilha Grande ❤️
Ilha Grande (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈiʎɐ ˈɡɾɐ̃dʒi] "Big Island") is an island located off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. The island, which is part of the municipality of Angra dos Reis, remains largely undeveloped. For almost a century it was closed by the Brazilian government to free movement or settlement because it first housed a leper colony and later a top-security prison (Colônia Penal de Dois Rios, later known as Instituto Penal Cândido Mendes). The Cândido Mendes prison, which housed some of the most dangerous prisoners within the Brazilian penal system, was finally closed in 1994. The largest village on the island is called Vila do Abraão with approximately 1900 inhabitants.
The island, which is 193 km2 (75 sq mi) in area, is now a tourist destination that is known for its scenery, beaches, vegetation and landscapes. The highest point is the 1,031 m (3,383 ft) Pico da Pedra D'Água. Most of its territory is within the Ilha Grande State Park. The remainder of the island is subject to stringent development restrictions.
On 5 July 2019, Ilha Grande and Paraty were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site ❤️
Nights in Rio ❤️🔥
There are lots of things I love about Rio, the nightlife is certainly one of them. The food, the music, the service, the people, the energy…I’ve never had a bad night in Rio. One of the things I love most about Rio is how inclusive it is for the LGBTQ community 🏳️🌈 One of the local businesses responsible for creating an incredibly fun space of love and acceptance is Culto. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and talking to him about how Culto got started and why. Upon the entrance there is a message that reads:
“ If you’re not racist, homophobic, sexist or an idiot, welcome!! “ (translated)
Sounds like just the sort of place for us 🥰🇧🇷🏳️🌈
Rio is one of the most incredible cities in the world. Rich in arts & culture, diverse, inclusive, fun, sexy, alive, beautiful, friendly. If you’ve never been to Rio de Janeiro or Brazil for that matter, I highly recommend a visit.
Summer in Rio is particularly fun time to visit because the beaches are packed with people and vendors selling an amazing assortment of food, drinks, crafts and of course bikinis. During the summer you will find people in bikinis, sungas (the male version) and Havaianas pretty much all day in Ipanema & Copacabana. It’s Marvelous.
Our favorite way to start the day is with a bit of frescobol at Praia do Diabo and a jump in the cold ocean. Daisy loves this beach particularly because this is a dog friendly beach. What a wonderful start to the day.
Next stop…..studio visits 🥰
