How can AI help journalists in investigative research? 📰
At @digitalagentur.berlin ’s Digitalforum 2025, ART+COM research coordinator Ewelina Dobrzalski and Ralf Fricke, Head of R&D at Condat AG, presented the GenKI4Media AI assistant:
ART+COM’s research explores how AI can generate visual demonstrators that make complex topics clearer and more accessible — from 3D reconstructions of investigative stories to visual models for cultural projects: AI turns data into powerful storytelling tools.

An enormous organic sculpture seems to grow straight out of the ground in Berlin’s @futuriumd , a museum dedicated to the big question: How do we want to live? 🌍
Neo Nature is a so-called aperiodic structure, built from just a few repeating shapes that together generate infinitely varied and complex forms — a principle often occurring in nature. Neo Nature is where the inspiring and beneficial systems in nature meet technological innovation. 🌱
Around the sculpture, interactive displays invite you to explore new ways of living in closer harmony with nature.
Can you guess how many wooden modules make up the entire sculpture?

🌃 What if you could redesign the city of tomorrow? (Spoiler alert: you can!)
At the Level Green exhibition by @volkswagen , visitors explore how sustainability measures shape economic growth, social wellbeing, and the future of mobility. Numerous interactive media stations, designed by ART+COM over the past two decades, invite the public to engage with the most pressing sustainability questions.
One example is the Sustainable Urban Development Model: here, guests take on the role of citizens, lawmakers, or companies, testing strategies to make cities more sustainable. Every policy choice — from energy efficiency to smarter mobility — comes to life on the three-dimensional cityscape.
At the end, visitors see how their results compare to a “business-as-usual” scenario, and how collaboration can drive real impact.
🌱 Because building a sustainable future isn’t about watching from the sidelines — it’s about engaging, experimenting, and deciding together.
🚧 What would you change about the city you live in?
From swamp meadow to Berlin Palace: the site of today’s @humboldtforum is among the city’s most symbolic places.
For the exhibition in the old palace’s basement vault, ART+COM staged its layered history through immersive media installations.
Interactive touch interfaces placed alongside archaeological finds and wall fragments recount everyday life in the former palace. On a large interactive screen, visitors uncover the site’s heritage layer by layer: with simple gestures they stir up digital particles, revealing objects and places that dissolve back into dust moments later.
This playful, tactile production opens sensory access to history and invites reflection on the site’s continual transformation.

The kinetic sculpture “Pendulum” moves weightlessly through space. In the entrance hall of Casa V, a private residence in Mexico City, twenty circular pendulums create a continuous, poetic choreography of abstract forms.
At times, their movements join in a collective rhythm, at others, they float in quiet autonomy, as their positions shift between dense, tightly knit clusters and expansive, open constellations.
The disks’ reflective copper finish engage the sculpture with the space it’s in, echoing the architecture, the artworks on display as well as the viewers themselves.
By night, directional lighting adds another layer to the installation, casting dynamic shadows and reflections.
