Unity is a Wales-based lyricist celebrated for her sharp storytelling, poetic delivery, and deep-rooted understanding of Hip Hop culture. Raised in Mid Wales on guitar bands before discovering funk and Hip Hop through the Beastie Boys, she began her journey after winning a Swansea poetry slam in 2018 and quickly developed into a compelling MC.
Her music has received support from BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio 6 Music, and international stations, alongside features from Fresh on the Net, Buzz Magazine, and BBC Horizons. Unity has performed at festivals including Boomtown, Focus Wales, BBC Radio 6 Music Festival, Brecon Jazz Fringe, and New Skool Rules in Rotterdam, supporting artists such as Grandmaster Flash, Kae Tempest, and Blak Twang. As Infinite Sounds notes, “Unity is one to watch in Hip Hop.”
