“Generations” finished on the very last day of 5785.
Four panels, one ribbon, years of sketching, erasing, painting, doubting, and pushing through.
I didn’t plan the timing, but it feels right: to close the old year by closing this project, a work about memory, trauma, survival, and the way stories tie us across time.
As the panels dry, I feel a kind of release. The ribbon still runs through, but it’s no longer mine to carry alone it’s in the work now.
5786 begins tomorrow. Tonight, I let this one rest.
