Two weekends ago, the South Carolina music scene lost one of the brightest lights in the entire community. Jordan Thomas was loved by everyone he came in contact with. His band, Severed By Dawn, was a staple in Columbia and a staple at Freak Fest. Jordan also spent many years working at Art Bar, a place that is a second home to all of us. Most importantly, though, he was a son, a brother, an incredible friend, and a life partner to Amanda. With all this being said, it is with great honor that we present to you the line up for a show to celebrate the life of our sweet friend and bring some extra support to his family and loved ones. Sunday, June 28th at Art Bar at 7pm.. join us as we give Jordan the send off he deserves. Every band on this bill held a special place in the heart of Jordan and we couldn’t be more happy with how this lineup turned out. It will be the final show for a band that was Jordan’s baby.. Severed By Dawn. Joining them will be their close friends in @rectoplasm_sc @80bagg @backslide_ga @forcefedlead and coming all the way down from Philly… the mighty Kaonashi. It’s going to be a special night. There is a $10 cover/suggested donation and there will be an option for additional donations as well with the proceeds going to Jordan’s family. We love you, Jordo. 🖤

Our Art Bar family is heartbroken. We lost a beautiful soul far too soon - Jordan Thomas “Jordo” - a friend, a son, a brother, a partner to Amanda, and a true light in our world. He brought music, laughter, and a kind of energy that stays with you long after the night ends. That smile, that spirit, that guitar in his hands - they meant more than words can say to all who had the chance to meet him. He wasn’t just part of the scene, he was part of the heartbeat. We’re holding Amanda, his family, and everyone who loved him close right now. Rest easy, Jordo.
