We're excited to launch our next Featured Artist spot in the Artaxis Shop with Hannah Niswonger's work! We have 12 of Hannah's new works available and as always, proceeds support a great artist and our nonprofit programming. Hannah writes, "These little mugs are each an exploration of complexities of life ranging from personal to global in scale. I use humor to process difficult issues: predaceous bunnies; climate change; loss of habitat; why can't we all just get along … I hope they bring you joy." We're happy to welcome Jennifer Schumacher Waller (@jenniferwallerart ) to Artaxis. Her practice explores moments that lie in-between fixed states—those liminal places where meaning wavers, certainty dissolves and moments that hold the fragile interval after things fall apart. Learn more and find Jennifer's new Artaxis page at /artist/jennifer-schumacher-waller/ #Artaxis #JenniferSchumacherWaller #contemporaryceramics #ceramics

Artaxis member, Meghan Yarnell (@meghcallie ) just updated her Artaxis page with new work! Meghan writes, "I am inspired by the beauty and uniqueness that can be found only in the natural world. From the delicate petals of a cherry blossom to the graceful flight of a crane, nature is amazing, intriguing, and inimitable. I am disheartened by the increasing encroachment of humans on nature. Our interactions with the natural world are quickly becoming more and more intrusive and irreversible. In a culture that values quantity (or profit) over quality, green lawns over clean water, and convenience over sustainability, I find myself drawn more and more to the intricacies of the natural world." We're thrilled to launch Casey Beck's Featured Artist spot in the Artaxis Shop today. "I make pottery not only out of a passion for my material, clay, and for the complex processes of wheel throwing and atmospheric firing, but also out of a passion for living with, using, and sharing handmade objects. For me, using pottery daily is an act of celebration." - Casey Beck. We know you'll love Casey's new work, so check out the shop at ShopArtaxis.org (link in bio). As always, all proceeds support a great artist and our nonprofit programming to inspire the next generation of makers around the world. #Artaxis #CaseyBeck #ArtaxisShop #SupportArtists #SupportNonprofits @beckpots

Please join us in welcoming Holly Truong (@hollibell3 ) to Artaxis. She writes, "I integrate illustration with ceramics as a way to convey personal narrative. The question of how form and surface inform one another, and to what extent, is a constant source of joy and exploration. I use thrown vessels, multi-part installations, and architectural adornment as canvases for layered imagery to emphasize themes of memoir, community, and perceived value." Hello, my name is Dina Perlasca, President of Artaxis, and I am raising funds to support the essential operations that keep this global platform accessible to artists around the world. Artaxis is more than a website — it is a living global network that has provided free visibility to artists for more than 20 years, helping them connect with curators, educators, collectors, and institutions. This fundraiser is personal to me.I am sharing this call from the borderlands, where I live and work — far from major art centers. From this place, Artaxis allows me to remain connected to the wider art world, even when geography creates distance. Art crosses borders — even when people cannot. My goal is to raise $5,000 to help cover website hosting and operational costs that sustain this shared platform. Every contribution — large or small — directly supports artists and this global community.
