That first blue stroke of paint was exactly how I felt that evening, so blue! (Check out the creation process in my very first reel). From that moment, I decided to pick up my brushes and paint exactly how I feel whenever I’m less busy, instead of being idle enough to indulge toxic habits/patterns/people.
I started allowing myself simply sit and exist, without pressure, without anxiety, without obsessing over every second as it ticks away on my watch. I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for giving me the courage to unbottle all those silent emotions and pour it out on blank canvases with some paint, instead of obsessing over or transferring aggression to people who had nothing to do with it😂🤭.
I used to paint a lot growing up until I got caught up in so much going on around me, I have lost most of my artworks from childhood and high school. My mother bought me new art supplies in 200level in Uni for a class test and somehow I fell in love with painting again, so I started this painting on page 2 of my sketchpad. Returning to one of my first loves has helped me regulate my emotions better as a lady🥰 I’m grateful to my priceless gold for buying me the art supplies and to Jesus for giving me this peaceful creative gift.
