Year 13 artist Lucy’s ‘Melting in Malta 2018’ wins 3rd prize in the prestigious 2026 Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
We are so proud of Lucy who was come in the top three prize winners for her remarkable self-portrait. In addition to her work touring Ireland, she also enjoyed attending the Media Reception where prize winners got professional photographs of their work at the Herbert Park Hotel, Dublin. Her self-portrait has won her a €750 in the age 16 – 18 category and will remain in the Texaco Permanent Collection.
Year 8 pupils enjoyed some sunshine this week as they began to harvest this year’s sustainable willow crop. This crop will be used for a variety of artworks across the year.
Wonderful to see past pupil Tess Carter thriving on her creative career path! One of only 40 young people to have her stunning knitwear collection feature on the catwalk in Ireland's first ever Fashion Week.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Art Department. Art Club requested early Christmas activities and so who are we to argue 😂 🌲❄️☃️🌨️🎅🎄
The Autumn theme continues in Art Club with just a smidge of Halloween excitement. These wonderful ceramic pumpkins will be ready just in time to take home for the break 🎃🎃🎃
