National Monument to Migration, the Welcome Wall, ceremony at Australian National Maritime Museum celebrates multiculturalism by honouring migrants’ stories and paying tribute to our migration heritage. It was a wonderful ceremony attended by 1300 guests with over 400 names of migrants added to the Welcome Wall. Also attended a private guided tour of HMAS Onslow at the museum with Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral Mark Hammond AO who was training aboard Onslow as a young Lieutenant and will be Chief of Defence Force in July.

Asialink’s Chinese Australian Community Leaders Summit at the Old Parliament House in Canberra funded by the National Foundation of Australia China Relations where I was invited to be a speaker and mentor. It was a wonderful opportunity for me to experience the passion, energy and friendship that the 25 participants of the summit shared over three days in Canberra.
