“Until Love Makes Us /Que el amor nos haga” is a new play that explores the theme of migration through the lens of love, resistance, and healing. It tells the story of three women—a queer “Dreamer,” and two separated lovers from Mexico, forced to flee, who hope to reunite in the United States. In their harrowing journeys, they encounter danger, interrogation, and a flock of unlikely guides.
“Until Love Makes Us / Que el amor nos haga” is a bilingual theatre performance featuring live music, dance, and video projections. Presented in Spanish, with English supertitles.

📣 Meet the lead artist of Until Love Makes Us / Que el amor nos haga: Dora Arreola!
With more than 30 years of experience as a theatre director, choreographer, and performer, Dora Arreola is the Artistic Director of Mujeres en Ritual Danza-Teatro and a founding artist & long-time collaborator of Art2Action. Dora holds a MFA in Directing from UMass Amherst, and participated in Jerzy Grotowski’s Workcenter in Pontedera, Italy; she has directed more than 40 productions and is the recipient of numerous awards, having toured/featured in national and international festivals. She is currently a Full Professor of Theatre at the University of South Florida (USF Tampa). Dora not only wrote and directed Until Love Makes Us, but she performs in it too!

The project sheds light on the reasons people migrate, inviting audiences to witness stories of survival and resistance—and to imagine love as a force for healing and change. Meet Miroslava Wilson, choreographer and performer in Until Love Makes Us / Que el amor nos haga! An interdisciplinary artist and co-founder of contemporary dance company Péndulo Cero, Miroslava brings years of experience as a dancer, teacher, and Co-Artistic Director to the stage. A graduate of the Professional School of Contemporary Dance of Mazatlán, her work moves across disciplines with depth and vision.
