Painting the joker was so much fun!! My brother saw an image on Facebook by @iamdaviddrake head over to his page to see his amazing piece as well. The piece by David inspired him and together we came up with something a little different and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I hope I did Jack Nicholson some justice šŸ¤žšŸ¾ . . . #jacknicholson #fanart #thejoker #ogjoker #joker #jokerfanart #digitalpainting #artwork #digital #procreateartwork #dccomics #samroastme12

To new beginnings and fresh starts. This is the beginning of a strawberry plant that we grew. I really liked the picture that I took, so I decided to paint it with gouache for an art show. I have two major goals for this year and that is to paint more and connect with my local art community. If you want to read more about my goals check out my Substack! What goals do you have? #smallartistaccount #artgoals #gouachepainting #strawberryplant #newbeginningsšŸ’œ

Here are some close up’s of the portrait painting from yesterday. With this painting I used the winkleigh brush that is in procreate and it maybe my new favorite brush especially for a more realistic look. #procreateportrait #paintingportraits #digitalart #newbrushes #closeups

This year I really wanted to participate in art markets, but I just didn’t know what I was doing and felt under prepared. Hopefully with a new plan for 2026, I will be able to actually try out an art market. Checkout my newsletter to read more about my plan. #artmarkets #betterprep2026 #productpreparation #planningforsuccess #juststart

Listen she looks creepy right now, but wanted to share the progress of the new brush that I found in procreate. I really like the painterly feel that I am getting with it and it my become a staple, but we will see šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø Hope to get this done soon so you can see the process a little more. #paintprogress #digitalportrait #portraitpainting #femaleportrait #newstaple

The new brush for this portrait sketch was Lofty! I really enjoyed the texture of this brush and how easy it was to use. The tapering really helps for those fine lines without changing the brush size too much. The lofty brush has great pressure sensitivity as well. I like to be able to sketch with changing the opacity. I was able to set the opacity for the brush and leave it alone. What other brushes should I try? I have one more new brush and two tried and true brushes to share. #newbrushseries #tryingnewbrushes #sketchtest #digitalsketching #procreatebrush

Last week I asked for help with a pose and here is the final sketch! I love the pose, it was a little challenging and I think I have most of the proportions right. This pose is perfect for reading, I normally sit this way then wonder why my back is in pain when I stand up šŸ˜‚ #posesketch #digitalsketching #ipadproartist #challengingmyself #somethingnew

I tested out another brush! This time it is the Chocolate Brush from procreate, I found it in the gouache section. Gouache is such a beautiful medium, I love watching other creatives paint with it. I’ve tried painting with gouache traditionally and it just never seems to come out right, so why not try digital gouache? This portrait turned out awesome and I love the texture that I was able to keep. At certain parts of the process I was hesitant because the portrait wasn’t looking how I thought it would until the very end. The chocolate brush has plenty of texture, but it is smooth at the same time. It does mix on its own a tad. I was using brown but sometimes the brush would pick up a more red undertone, which I needed to adjust to. What brush should I try next? I have two more that are my go to brushes, but I would love to test out some others. #digitalpainting #usingprocreate #newbrushes #ipadproart #portraitprocess

I need help! Which pose should I use for reading? The sitting poses are really calling me, but the close ups seem like it’ll be more personal for the viewer. Let me know which one down below!
