I am excited to be presenting at the @gymqld Beyond the Routine seminar this Sunday along with other leaders in their field focused on keeping our gymnasts healthy.
It is no secret that injury prevention is my passion and I believe that overuse injuries in gymnasts such as lumbar stress fractures and growth plate issues could be significantly reduced with the right athlete management.
The presentations are available to Gymnastics Queensland members and I will be talking about load management from 10am to 12pm for coaches and strength and conditioning for athletes at 1pm-3pm. See you online!!
Yesterday I had the honour of witnessing @dakota_chanel_ achieve her dream of performing as the titular character in Annie the musical. @anniemusicalau . I really am still at a loss for words at how spectacular Dakota was and how proud I am of you. Your talent is unbelievable but your tenacity and hard work is next level. @kimberleyjanssen_ you have two superstars! Canāt wait to watch you on Broadway!
Iām so excited to announce that I will be working on the fabulous show Elvis: A Musical Revolution @elvisamusicalrevolutionau as a physio to the cast and crew. It is playing at HOTA on the Gold Coast from mid June until July. Thank you @performancemed for this wonderful opportunity. I have actually been listening to Elvis music non-stop for the past year since watching @napa_insti version of All Shook Up last year so Iām looking forward to deepening my Elvis music knowledge with this great show. I will continue my clinic hours for Art Physio with some minor changes. Bookings available at artphysio.com.au
I have worked with @aerialangels_cirquecentral and their pro course from the early days of Art Physio. Every participant gets a screening from me which picks up on potential injuries and an exercise program and discussion with the coaches to combat these potential problems. Pro course students also get full access to my injury prevention certificate through @indemnifly which is now recognised by Gymnastics Queensland. I love working with this group of athletes year after year and especially love working with @aerialangels_cirquecentral because of their incredible dedication to preventing injuries and the highest level of coaching. Email Leah at [email protected] for more info
