I’ve been sitting on a few pieces (this one) nervous to post them worried about whether they’re valid or kosher. But honestly - I don’t care, & those are just SILLY thoughts. this is my trash art,,
when I say ‘trash’ I don’t mean it in a derogatory sense. When I think back on my art classes from elementary school and middle school I always remember my teachers saying “every mistake can still be something, it can still be art” and as an artist sometimes I have to remember that not EVERYTHING is going to be perfect. I start these ‘trash’ paintings with no sketches or ideas in mind and whatever I put on the page must be used for something whether that be layering or forming into a butterfly,, I just can’t start over. I really enjoy doing this ‘trash’ art because it almost forces my creativity.
