We’re proud to share that Gibson Point is a finalist in the @architizer A+Awards in the Architecture + Health category. Please take a minute to vote for Gibson Point: /546cvau8 What does it mean to design for well-being? At Gibson Point, the answer starts with place. For decades, this stretch of Revere’s shoreline was defined by industrial use, disconnected from the water and surrounding landscape. Today, it tells a different story. Gibson Point reimagines a former junkyard as a multifamily community centered on health, resilience, and everyday well-being. Green roofs slope toward the water. Rain gardens and vegetated shorelines help restore ecological function. Shared spaces open to marsh views, sunset light, and the Boston skyline. Wellness here isn’t treated as an amenity. It’s embedded into the experience of living.

East Boston is ready for its next great restaurant and café. There are already some strong operators in the neighborhood — but demand for high-quality, everyday places continues to grow. •At 355 Bennington, we’re introducing two retail spaces designed for what’s next: — A true sit-down restaurant — A great, daily-use café We’re sharing this quietly before bringing it to market. If you’ve been thinking about Eastie, this is a moment worth paying attention to. DM us to learn more. #EastBoston #BostonRestaurants #BostonCafe #RestaurantOpportunity #RetailLeasing #Everstreet

A major milestone in high-performance school design. Squantum School has officially achieved Phius Design Certification - becoming the largest school to earn this distinction and the first in Massachusetts. This achievement demonstrates what’s possible when ambitious performance goals, thoughtful design, and deep collaboration align. The project sets a new benchmark for healthy, energy-efficient learning environments and advances what sustainable public schools can be. More than a certification, this milestone reflects rigorous verification, innovation, and a shared commitment to delivering lasting value for students, educators, and the community. Grateful to the many partners whose expertise and collaboration brought this vision to life. #Arrowstreet #PCA #QuincyPublicSchools #ThorntonTomasetti #GGD #Phius #SustainableDesign #HighPerformanceSchools

Last week, students from UNC Charlotte toured our new office while construction was still underway, getting a behind-the-scenes look beyond a typical firm visit. From meeting our team to exploring the site, they saw firsthand the coordination it takes to bring a design to life. Our interior designer Rachel wrapped up the visit with a brief look at how finishes and furniture are selected. Thanks for stopping by @cltarchitecture !

Happy Chinese New Year! Led by Vela, Hui, and Jingxian, we celebrated with a hands-on traditional Chinese paper-cutting workshop, creating our own unique paper flowers while learning the history, symbolism, and stories behind the craft. Of course, no celebration would be complete without Chinese food, festive snacks, and riddles - sparking some intense (but friendly!) competition. With a prize on the line, the stakes were high and the energy even higher! Wishing everyone a joyful start to the Year of the Fire Horse!

As the temperatures rise (well… almost), Arrowstreet is back with a new season of lunchtime field trips close to the office to uncover hidden gems, new installations, and, of course, good food! We kicked things off with a visit to Boston City Hall’s model room, led by Yung. The space houses a 1:40-scale model of Boston and surrounding neighborhoods dating back to the 1980s, offering a powerful perspective on how the city has grown and evolved. It was especially exciting to spot several Arrowstreet projects represented within the broader fabric of Boston. Moments like this are a reminder of the collective impact of design, its lasting presence across Boston, and the role we all play in shaping the city. We’re excited to see even more Arrowstreet work represented in the years ahead. Stay tuned for our next field trip.

Our team at Arrowstreet partnered with Run the Gamut to design their first training center, taking the project from concept to opening in just seven months. The 10,000 SF facility is dedicated to supporting autistic young adults as they transition into independent living and employment. Designed as a supportive and immersive environment, the center elevates real-world skill building, fosters a strong sense of community, and empowers every young adult with confidence. The signage and wayfinding were crafted with an emphasis on clarity and calm visual communication, while maintaining a cohesive connection to the brand and interior design. Functionality, inclusivity, and sensitivity to diverse sensory and cognitive needs informed every design decision. Soft-edged forms and clean, simple typography ensure that all signage remains clear, legible, and welcoming for both students and staff. Environmental graphics serve as a visually engaging focal points that reinforces Run the Gamut’s mission, blending dynamic color with meaningful, supportive messaging. Three large wall graphics throughout the center highlight inspirational phrases that students can pause and reflect on as they move between classes. One of these, “Why fit in, when you were born to stand out?”—a message deeply embraced by the Run the Gamut team—is prominently displayed outside their offices.

Curious about modern, sustainable school transformation? Arrowstreet transformed a 1960s former convent and women’s college into the new net zero @lincoln_eliot_newton Lincoln-Eliot Elementary School in Newton, MA. Through a full renovation of the existing building, the re-envisioned 98,000 SF facility is a future-focused learning environment serving approximately 450 K–5 students and housing a district-wide special education program. A new front entrance addition accommodates the gymnasium and library, while refreshed classrooms, an upgraded auditorium, and a modern cafeteria and kitchen enhance the everyday experience for students and staff, bringing the campus together as a more connected, student-centered environment. Designed with sustainability top of mind, the project achieves net-zero energy through a high-performance building envelope, efficient mechanical systems, and rooftop solar. By centering form, function, and environmental impact, Lincoln-Eliot stands as a compelling model for ethical, future-forward adaptive reuse, illustrating how existing buildings can be reimagined to serve communities for generations to come.
