Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, we think there’s magic here waiting for you. If you’ve been dreaming of a quiet weekend away- no tent poles, no stress, just the forest and a warm bed- our cabins are ready! 💭 📅 Book now and come see what makes Arrowhead feel like home. When it’s warm and soggy, be on the lookout for salamanders and froggies! [image 1: a bright green frog on leaves] [image 2: a salamander with yellow spots in the palm of a hand] [image 3: a frog sitting on a finger] [image 4: a salamander with blue spots sitting on a glove]

⛄️ Winter is playing tricks on us today… It might look like a winter wonderland, but conditions can change quickly this time of year. If you’re heading out, be sure to check the weather and come prepared with proper footwear for wet, muddy, icy, and slippery conditions. Our ski trails have not transitioned into hiking trails yet and remain icy and uneven due to melting conditions. 🥾 Open for hiking: • Stubbs Falls • Mayflower • Lookout Stay tuned for updates as conditions continue to change. Spring (and winter) are both keeping us on our toes right now🌦️ [image 1: a snowman wearing an Ontario Parks jacket out front of the Visitor Centre/ Park Store]

Due to rain and mild temperatures, our ski trails are now closed for the season🌦️ While it’s always tough to say goodbye to winter, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us on the trails this year, from first-timers to seasoned skiers, it’s been a great season!❄️💙 We look forward to welcoming you back next winter! Our groomers were hard at work today getting the ski trails back into shape after a challenging weather week. Thanks to their efforts (and a little help from the snow in the forecast), we’re happy to have several trails open again! ✅ Open for skiing: • Arrowhead Lake • Roe • East River • Homesteaders • Bunny • Sprint 🚫 Closed: • Beaver Meadow ❄️ Open for hiking, biking, and snowshoeing only (no skiing): • Lookout Trail Conditions are improving, but they are not the same across every trail. Some sections are experiencing wet spots and thinner base depths, so please be sure to check the Snow Report and the specific trail conditions before heading out. Thanks for your patience this week and enjoy getting back out on the trails! ❄️ [image 1: two grooming machines together on a ski trail with a forest in the background on an overcast winter day] [image 2: two grooming machines parked in the middle of a ski trail on an overcast winter day]

⛸️ Ice Trail Update: Our skating trail is now closed for the season. Unfortunately, it didn’t survive the warm temperatures and rain we experienced over the past week. Thank you to everyone who came out to skate with us this winter, we loved seeing so many people enjoying the trail! ❄️💙 Our team is now working on the ski trails, and we’ll share updates on their status soon. Stay tuned! [image 1: an ice trail in a snowy forest, with a zamboni in the distance)

⚠️ Weekend Trail Update: Saturday & Sunday (March 7 & 8) ⚠️ With warm temperatures and rain in the forecast, both the ski trails and ice trail will be closed this weekend. We want to give everyone a heads-up so you can plan accordingly and avoid disappointment before arriving. 🌲 The park will remain open for hiking on designated trails. 🚫 Please stay off the ski trails and do not walk on them! We’re working to preserve the snow base in hopes that colder temperatures and fresh snow are still to come. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Checking conditions ahead of time really helps us protect the trails for the rest of the season. ❄️ [image 1: a bird’s-eye view of a snowy green forest, and a path with people in the middle]

🔥❄️ Fire & Ice Update: Due to the forecasted warm weather and rain, conditions won’t allow us to confidently and safely run Fire & Ice evening skates this weekend. As a result, the events will not be moving forward. The Ice Trail will remain open during the day for as long as weather and ice conditions allow. Conditions can change quickly, so please be sure to check the Snow Report (linked in our bio and on the Ontario Parks website under ‘visiting parks’ tab) before you come to see if the trail is open or closed. Thank you for your understanding, we appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate changing conditions. ❄️ [image 1: people skating on an ice trail in the forest at night with lit tiki torches along the sides of the trail]
