**Let’s Break the Pattern – Community Action to Make Aro Valley safer**
📍 Aro Valley Community Centre
📅 21 May, 7pm
Join us for a community discussion with Tamatha Paul, MP about recent law changes aimed at better protecting stalking victims, and what these changes mean for our community.
Hear from Zeni Gibson, a former Aro Valley resident who recently shared her experience in the three-part documentary series *Stalked*.
Together, we’ll reflect on how we can make our community safer and better support those affected by harmful behaviour.
Please note: discussions will include references to stalking and violence against women. We understand this may be triggering for some people.

Aro Valley is featured in the upcoming documentary Stalked, which explores the serious issue of stalking in Aotearoa. We recognise this is a distressing topic and acknowledge the courage of those sharing their experiences. Our full statement, including support resources and an upcoming community discussion is above.

Remember the Walking in the Valley photo exhibition by Mark Beehre in our community centre?
It captured the everyday magic of Aro — the streets, the people, the little moments we often walk past. The project started as a personal photo diary and grew into a beautiful snapshot of life in the valley over time
📸 The best part? The competition is still open!
There’s still time to submit your own photos and share your take on the valley we call home.
