The Megg V14 One of Squamish’s best and hardest lines. But is it fun to project? Something this hard obviously requires a hell of a lot of work to get done, add a sprinkle of Squamish tech/awkward conditions into the equation and it makes it a very hard block to take down. The crux revolves around crimping a very sharp small two finger crystal and balancing on a precarious heel hook and doing two hard hand moved up the right arete. With a crux hold being so sharp, its just a matter of tries before your fingers run out of skin and you’re left with a week recovery. There comes a point when you’re visiting a place to climb, is it worth putting everything into a couple moves? Or do you go climb one of the countless other amazing blocks. @tomwaldin putting time into this one, but making that choice to walk away. #Rockclimb #rockclimbing #rockclimber #climbing #climb #climber #boulder #bouldering #beta #fitness #active #weareexplorers #getoutside #workhardplayhard #training #climbing_worldwide #squamishbouldering #squamishclimbing #squamish #vancouver #stawamuschief

Ethan vs Se7en (V14) Part 1/2 Had the pleasure of shooting @ethansalvo recently after he took down two of Squamish’ hardest blocs. Squamish seems to deliver the full package to the grade of V14 in Squamish, big beautiful lines one can only dream about This part of the climb has some unfortunate history with the rail feature being chipped to be a lot easier, otherwise it had the potential to be one of the hardest blocs in North America. The section of the climb with the majority of the business, pumpy overhung technical climbing leading up to the crux throw. Ever since I first saw this one being posted by the first ascentionist, I knew I wanted to shoot this line! You can find the full write up on @ethansalvo ‘s page Part 2 from me to come soon. #Rockclimb #rockclimbing #rockclimber #climbing #climb #climber #boulder #bouldering #beta #fitness #active #weareexplorers #getoutside #workhardplayhard #training #climbing_worldwide #squamishbouldering #squamishclimbing #squamish #vancouver #stawamuschief

No.4 in my best climbing photo series Somewhere I never thought id go, to the depths of indian creek Utah! A trad climbing mecca! I never had any intention of ever learning trad and still dont really, but friends were going, I was nearby and It seemed like a good opportunity. Although I didnt even successfully toprope anything I did come away with a bunch of my favourite photos including this one! No idea on the route but all I know is you should bring a headlamp! #Rockclimb #rockclimbing #rockclimber #climbing #climb #climber #boulder #bouldering #beta #fitness #active #weareexplorers #getoutside #workhardplayhard #training #climbing_worldwide #moab #moabutah #indiancreek #indiancreekclimbing #tradclimbing

Magic Wood certainly lives up to its name 🌲 First time going to climb here and I didnt know what to really expect, a stuttery first day of getting on some slightly tough ones for the grade left us a little beaten down. It didnt take us long to find our groove and found the amazing lines that scatter this small forest. Feeling pretty blessed this winter 🥹 Had one of my best winters yet out in the mountains, getting to cat ski, visit Golden and Rogers pass and generally just level up and get out with friends. I also got the opportunity to really push my winter photography, which is something I haven’t been able to do before. Getting out for a couple more skis before the season fully wraps up! #rogerspass #whistlerblackcomb #skitouring🎿 #kickinghorse #catskiing

My favourite time of year is back! I love spring! Being able to ski deep in the mountains, freezing your butt off, then coming back to town and climbing on dry rock in the sun just doesn’t get old. Been really nice getting back into my favourite forest, hanging out, climbing, and feeling how stoked everyone is for summer on the way. And to top it all off, @tacofinolovesyou at sunset is about to become a regular thing 🌮 #squamishclimbing #squamishbouldering #tacofino #tacos #climbing

Well that certainly didnt disappoint! Just ventured on my first trip out of the Sea to Sky to ski in Golden! You hear many things about how good it is out there compared to whistler, and quite certainly they were not wrong. I managed to get my timing perfect, getting stable snow and a lot of it! The first couple of days were spent in or around the resort, being the first day getting taken on the slack country tour that lead me down 3 of increasingly difficult couloirs. Turns out, the resort itself also requires a decent amount of fitness, with many many bootpacks scattered around the mountain, allowing access to the insane terrain they have to offer. I got the finish up the trip skiing the iconic Rogers Pass. Its truly the most inspiring mountains that I have seen since starting skiing here, so many massive lines and some of the best snow to match! Enjoy the first set of photos from this trip, I have a few more to come! :) #kickinghorsemtn #rogerspass #goldenbc #backcountryskiing #kickinghorse

Life in the mountains lately... Feeling very blessed to have had the time to go out into the backcountry with new and old friends, staying at huts, riding snowmobiles, getting lifts up in the Cat, skiing some amazing powder, and creating some pretty awesome new life memories. Glad I have been able to share the love with some @tacofinolovesyou burritos on those long days in the alpine! #SeaToSky #PowderDay #BackcountryCulture #MountainFuel #Tacofino
