Fallen twigs were collected & the rest of the failed cherry was sawn to prep for its new life as deadwood habitat.
More ivy trails were trimmed from railings.
In the beds, ivy was cleared from round bergenias to set the pig-squeaks free.
Select things were watered deeply to help with good early growth. It's very dry.
And all the sweepings went for composting.

Ready-to-use leaf mould was dug out of a leaf-bin and bagged.
Geranium macrorrhizum cuttings were taken and replanted. They root easily this time of year and should grow away quickly.
Strobilanthes wallichii & Geranium 'Fielding's Folly' were planted.
A cherry laurel was removed.
