I created this composite image of Pyongyang in 2002 using low resolution LANDSAT imagery (in color) and higher resolution SPOT imagery in black and white. You can see the underlying images to see what a difference combining the two makes.
In 1984, Aviation Week published a LANDSAT image showing a Soviet SSBN practicing how to break through ice prior to launching its missiles. I thought it would be neat to download the original image and process it with modern software.
