chopped-up vocal samples and speedy beats. The solo project of Ryo Arimura finds fresh
angles on familiar sounds, and retrofits them into thrilling new creations.
Started in the early 2010s, Arimura quickly attracted attention from electronic-leaning media and
fans in the country through tracks shared online showcasing his approach to slicing up vocal
sand rearranging them into dizzying cuts. He released works via influential Japanese labels
such as Maltine Records and Trekkie Trax, and has been featured in publications such as
