Christmas is always a special time of year for us. We see visits from friends old and new who are always welcome in our workshop.
One such visitor was from one of our work experience lads, James, who gifted us a model replica of my personally owned Scammell Pioneer SV2S. It sports some unique detail such as registration number, unit markings, and the bent front weights bracket!
Thanks for the thought James! It now sits in a prominent spot where I get to see it daily.

Meet the newest addition to our team.
Jamie joins the team from local Land Rover specialists AHL Engineering where he refined his mechanical skills on anything from Series 1 up to the latest Range Rover.
He has always had a keen interest in historic military vehicles, and has attended many local shows over the years. He’s started off his new role with the servicing and roadworthy inspection of a 1943 Kubelwagen, and has since joined Ollie in the full restoration of an M3A1 Scout Car.
We look forward to testing his abilities on the future tracked vehicle restorations we have in the pipeline!

Meet the newest addition to our team.
Ollie joins us as a mechanic after studying as a product designer and brings with him sound knowledge in CAD systems as well as practical mechanical skills from his time working in the marine sector.
He’s hit the ground running having just completed his first visit to the Tank Museum where we completed some pre-winter checks on vehicles belonging to the Bannister Historic Armour Collection (BHAC). Having never been to the museum before, he was given the guided tour.
Ollie is looking forward to the 2026 show season where he hopes he can experience everything the industry has to offer.

TANKFEST 2025
This year we ran a total of FIVE WW2 armoured vehicles from the Bannister Historic Armour Collection -
Stuart M5A1
A27L Centaur III
M24 Chaffee
M3 Grant
M8 Greyhound
All vehicles have either been restored by us or have had some serious mechanical overhauls in the last year. Thankfully we only experienced a minor wiring issue with the Stuart M5 on Friday which was easily fixed during the show.
To support the Tank Museum further we also helped to run their CVR(T) Scimitar in the arena.
This makes Tankfest 2025 our most successful show to date. How many vehicles will we run in 2026?
