Imagine being excited about regulation. Well, here we are.
From 19 July 2026, large EU brands can no longer destroy unsold clothes, accessories and footwear.
Every year in Europe, an estimated 4-9% of unsold textiles are destroyed before ever being worn. For years, the industry has hidden overproduction in landfills and incinerators. The new ESPR regulation closes that door.
And we’re not just cheering from the sidelines, we’re already living it: designing for circularity, repairing with @mended.eu , reselling through Re-Loved, and pushing further into recycled and next-gen fibers like SaXcell.
The law is always the floor, not the finish line.
Made from pineapple leaf fiber, a by-product that would otherwise be burned. 🍍 Turned into soft, breathable fabrics using a low-impact process. Give it up for Pina Yarn 👏
